Hello again friends. I say hello from the mountains of North Carolina. I am sitting here in lovely Asheville on the set of Trading Spaces.
So sorry that I haven't posted in a while but I was so caught up in just BEING home.
And boy was being home great. Otis and I celebrated his birthday and I pretty much did all my favorite things:
sat on the deck, cooked, knitted, went to the Italian market, chilled with friends, and checked out the new farmers market in the heart of south Philly.
Yes, I know it is ironic that there is a farmers market down the street (on passyunk and tasker) from the LARGEST outdoor market (the Italian market) on the east coast. But damn was it convenient and quaint. Plus they had fresh flowers.
And fresh Amish produce hauled in by horse and buggy from Lancaster....
OK- so I really have no idea how they got into the middle of Philly. But they had delicious corn.
After spending about 26 of the past 30 days on the road I have decided that besides Otis, the thing I most miss is cooking for myself. I think I took for granted that I DECIDE what I want to eat each day. On set you are served whatever and have no control over what it is that you are eating and when.
I have to go shoot a scene now....more later from this cute little town...
