howdy from Texas

Sageish

I just got home from a business trip in Austin...I needed the trip. After all the initial rush of wedding mania it was good to hop on a plane and fly away and focus on something else...to create, and produce, and explore, and laugh, and work with people who are just a whole lotta fun.

To top it all off I got to spend some time with Team Awesome.  Noelle of Lucky Kitty and Corey of Mr Canacorn are one of my most favorite couple.  I met them when they were on Trading Spaces.  It was great to spend time with folks who are just...well...awesome!  I wish we had had more time to spend together! Next time-

Overall....Austin is an amazing place.  Lots of places to click click click the camera.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh (sigh of relief)

thanks for all of your lovely emails and comments.  So nice of all of you!!!

PS- Keri- Yes that is a quote from father of the bride. I LOVE that movie.  Mostly for the chipper chicken. I lost your email.  could you email me your address girlie?

Feli- yours too!

Things are starting to SLOWLY come together...but at least I feel like Otis and I have hatched a very fun, very "us" wedding plan.

On to unfinished bizzzzness: What I made for my Christmas vacation i.e. gifts I made and gave away.

Up first: knitted items.

And I made 2 more nest totes for my Mom and Otis' stepmom. I really love that pattern.

you can find photos of ones just like them here.

I also gifted otis yarn for a new pair of socks...so those are on the needles now.

next up:
sewed up gifts!

I met a man in Rome. And he's wonderful and brilliant, and we're getting married!!

Sorry for the "quiet as a mouse" behavior over here...

I've got some very good news:

The_ring

Otis and I are gettin' hitched.  More details to come!

PS- This is my ring...but it doesn't fit yet.

PPS- Who knew there was so much to think about when it comes to weddings.  I was never the girl who dreamed about her big day.  Cripes!  This is a bit overwhelming all at once.  Maybe I should have daydreamed a little sooner!

Happy Joyful times.
