On my way home from running errands last weekend, underneath a noisy highway overpass, along a very busy bus route, sat a table of "junk" manned by people whom, to be totally honest, didn't have all of their teeth.
In the urban jungle, discovering thrifty goodness that calls out to my heart is a rare find. But out of the corner of my eye I spied this brassy, beauty of a lantern:

a treasure! i knew that I could make some magic. A roll of painters tape and a can of spray paint later I spied on this:
And now I can see when we eat al fresco in the backyard on the back deck 4x6 ft plot of land we call our own in the big, bad, city.
